My Winter Nail Care

Disclaimer: I was not paid in any to do this. All opinions are 100% Mine

Hello Everyone. I was so happy to get contacted by Julep's Community Outreach Coordinator, who was looking for bloggers to share tips on how they winterize their nails. They included a great tutorial of their own, which includes six steps great tips on how to winterize your nails.

First off I want to tell you all that I haven't painted my nail or did anything to them in a month. As an active nail polish wearer. I think it great to give your nails a break here and there. To help them stay healthy. I'm going to share with you my 7 tips on how I winterize my nails.

The items I use to take care of my nail are the following.
~Nail clippers
~Nail File
~ A mild hand soap. For soaking my nails
~Shea butter hand cream
~Cuticle pusher

Step 1~ Remove your nail polish if you have any on. Then cut your finger nail. I do this once a month. If you don't want to cut your nail then you can move on to step two.

Step 2~ Use the nail file and shape you nails to your liking.

Step 3~ Put warm water in a bowl with you favorite hand soap. The soap I'm using is Bath and Body Work Paris Armour. After soaking you nail dry your hands off.

Step 4~ Use the cuticle pusher and push your cuticle back.

Step 5~ Moisturize you hands with you favorite lotion. The hand lotion I'm using is True Blue Shea Cashmere Hand Cream.

Step 6~ Pick the polish you want to use for your nails.

Step 7~ Use you favorite Base Coat.  My favorite base/top coat is the Sally Hansen it the Ultimate Shield Base and Top Coat. It dry very quick.  After I put one layer on the base coat on. Then I added two coats of Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant in 305 Or you can use Julep nail polish in Lacey. Another great blue from Julep is Trina Turk from there fall 2012 in Gunta. After I let the Covergirl polish dry. I used one coat of Spoiled by Wet n Wild in S068 Jewelry Heist on my middle and ring finger.

Since today is the only day I have painted my nails. This is also my monthly nail recap post as well.

When I'm out running errand and getting lunch with my girlfriends. To add some color to the outfit. I decide to go with a white belt. To give the dress some curvy. To play on the black and white theme. I went with a shoulder bag. That has the black and white in it.
To change my outfit up for the night. I lost the belt and added a statement necklace. To go along with the statement necklace. I added a bracelet with some gem on it. I keep the shoe and bag the same. That way if I was in a rush and had no time to go home. I can just change a few items up.

Ugg Boots Birthday Gift From Hubby(2012)
Iphone 6 Plus in Gold with a Pink Spigen Case
Hello Everyone. Today I have an Iphone app review for you all. Before we get start on that let talk my outfit. This pink sweater is my all time favorite sweater that I own. I brought it at VS in 2006 and sure have got my wear out of it on the blog and off the blog. In person you can so see the wear on it. I will be wearing this baby until it fall complete apart or get a hole in it. I will say I was very shocked to see that this is the first time of me wearing it with a jean skirt.   Now on to the review.
Today I'm reviewing the Weather to wear app.  This app tells you when its too windy outside to wear a skirt or dress and also gives you a 5 day wind forcast.  All you need to do is enter your location or select it via GPS and you'll be told how windy it is and if you'll be flashing the world unexpectedly.

Over all I love this idea for an update. This app does have some negative things to it. Like it doesn't work for some zip code oversea. I can type my zip code in and it work. I let one of my friends test the app out. When she put in her Germany zip code it didn't work at all. I have even google some Germany zip codes and only half of them work. So I'm not happy about that at all. Being that I travel a lot to different place in Europe.

Some thing I do like about Weather to Wear is it easy to use. All you have to do is type you zip code in or use the GPS setting on your phone.  Save you location. Then hit the back button. After all your info is put in to the app. Then you will get a picture of a lady showing you what the wind is like outside and if you should wear a skirt or dress today.  I used this app this morning and it said there is no wind. So that helped me decided what skirt to wear. This app does cost 1.99 in Itunes.

Enter to win your own Weather to Wear. One Winner. Open Worldwide.

BBCA DAY 25: October Nails Plus Reveiw

Disclaimer: I was not paid to write this review. I was given the water decals for free to try out. All opinions are my own.
October 25, 2014~Bowknot Leaf Rose Sticker in number C068
Hello Everyone. Today I'm back to talk about another pack of water decals that I got from Born Pretty Store.  They were nice to send me 4 packs of water decal to try out. The first one I try out was the Rainbow Flower Pattern in XF1401 which you will see down below. These water decal are super easy to use. This time around I used some tweezers to get the water decal out of the water. Which made getting them out of the water super easy.

I was able to use one whole stripe to do both my thumb and ring finger on both hand. Which is super nice. This way I still have the rest of the pack to use. For nail polish this time I went with a gel polish from Sally Hansen. The polished I use was the Sally Hansen Salon Gel Polish in Back to the Fuchsia. I have to tell you all this is one of my favorite gel polish to use. When you are using any kind of decal with gel polish. You need to use rubbing alcohol after you cured you nail to remove the stickiness. Then place the decal on you nails. After you have the decal on your nail. Use a paper towel to get the left over water off. Then top it off with top coat.

Left~October 7, 2014, Revlon scented Parfume in 360 Bubble Gum. Under the Decals I used O.P.I. A-Ha Moment, Ring and middle finger have the  Rainbow Flower Pattern in XF1401 on them. ( The decal lasted 8 days on my nails. That with doing all my housework and other things) see review on these HERE
Middle~October 16, 2014, Broadway impress in tweet heart
Right~October 17, 2014 O.P.I. Elephantastic Pink Ribbon color is Kiss Nail Art Paint in White
This month I try out the Born Pretty Store water deal. Which I really like using them and I see myself using them in future manicure. I plan on ordering some Christmas decal. Since Christmas is my favorite holiday. Also this month I gave the Impress nails a try too. Sadly they only last a day before I took them off.

Don't forget to link your pink post up with my Co-Host~ Ada of Elegance Mommyhood and me.

This statistic is what makes breast cancer awareness month so important. Through early detection, chances of survival are greatly increased. Mortality rates from breast cancer have been declining since 1989, especially in women under 50. This is largely thanks to growing awareness of the importance of early detection.

Despite the leaps being made, breast cancer still accounts for more deaths than any other cancer, besides lung cancer. Talk with the women in your life about the importance of getting screened for breast cancer this October

Small Hoop Earring From CR~4.00
Impo thunder booties From DSW Christmas Gift From Hubby(2010)

Hello Everyone. Today I'm here to introduce you all to Whirl a-style. If you read my blog or even look at it. Then you know I love fun things to put in my hair. I find that a fun hair accessories can complete an outfit. So I was super happy even Whirl a-style contacted me to try out there fashion obsessed ponytail extender and 6" ponytail elastic.

Whirl a-style was designed by Lois Sonstegard. She got the idea for this hair accessories when she  worked as a savvy entrepreneur with fabrics at her home furnishings company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. One day she saw a whole bunch of leftover scraps of fabric scatted all over her office. One of her worker saw her struggling to carry the farbic around and gave her a rubber band. Then the idea for there hair accessories was born.
The  fashion obsessed ponytail extender come in all different colors and size's. The size you can get are 1 inch, 2 inch or 3 inch. I picked out the 3 inch one. Which with my hair length I wish I would have went with a size size down. Due to I think it would have looked a little better. Which I'm totally fine with the 3 inch one. Due to I'm growing my hair out. As for colors you can get Hot pink, Purple, Black , Cream and Copper. Which no surprise to anyone. I went with the pink one.
The 6" ponytail elastic are so easy to use. You used them like any other ponytail holder. The neat thing with these ponytail elastic are you just undo them to get them out of your hair. So no more pulling a tugging on your hair to get the hair tie out. The fashion obsessed ponytail extender is fairly easy to use too. The only hard part I had was getting my hair thru the tiny hole in the front. The reason you pull some of your hair thru the hole is to make the extender stay up in your hair. Plus it won't fall out.
You can find Whirl a-style at these locating here. One Lucky winner can win there very own fashion obsessed ponytail extender and 6" ponytail elastic. *GIVEAWAY IS OPEN TO US RESIDENTS ONLY*
