Tough it out Tuesday: Running Update


Hello Everyone. I'm back with another though it out Tuesday. If you readed last month fitness update you know I had giving up caffeine. Well that last for 24 days and then I had one. Which right now I'm limiting myself to one caffeine drink a week. 

I have 18 days before my half Marathon. I have to tell you all I'm feeling good about it. I know I won't finish in no crazy record. I have 4 hours to finish it. Which right now my husband thinks I will have it finish in 3 hours. Maybe a little less. My goal for the half is just to finish it. 

Last month I mention I have set a running goal for this year. To run 200 Miles. So far this year I have ran 62 miles. For the run challenge I have set up to run 300 miles in a year. Right now I have been holding first place in the challenge. 

As for my weight update. There hasn't been much change from last month. Last month when I post my Tough it out Tuesday I lost 3 pounds.  Right now I'm at 4.4 pounds lost. For my body fat I'm down 2.5% from the being of the year.

 Hello Everyone. Today I thought I would give you a fitness update and share with you whats in my gym bag. Since I haven't done one since September. That' when I told you all I was doing the half Marathon in Paris. Since then I start my training for the half. I was running outside but then it got to cold out. So I moved to the gym in December to run on the treadmill. 

When I started my training for the half I was not eating health and then the holidays came.  Which didn't help me at all. I end up going back to my heaviest weight again. This time around I didn't let it brother me. Like I did last year in May.  So as of the 1st of this month. I decide to put myself back on the slim fast diet/eating right and give up caffeine. We are 13 days in to the new year and I'm caffeine free.  Plus down 3 pounds. My goal for this month is to get down to 140. Which I have 1 more pound to go.  

Which I know I can do. Since the lowest weight I got to last year was 131. As for my running. I have to work myself up to 9 more mile of running. Which I know I can do. 

For my running goal for this year is to run 200 miles. That's 65 miles more then what I did last year. I'm also in a challenge with a group of friends to run 300 miles this year. So we will see if I get it or not. That would be 165 more mile then what I did last year.

I plan on doing this recap month. Like I semi did last year.

Tough it out Tuesday: Fitness Update


Hello Everyone. It's been a few month since I have done one of these post. So what I have been up to the last two month. A lot of traveling and not eating as health as I was. Which all in all I'm fine with what I'm weighting what now. Yes it no where close to my goal weight but I'm okay with that. 

As for working out we brought a stationary bike. Which I have been using. Since I gave up on insanity in July. Due to we rearrange the living room and no long have the room to do it in there. Plus I want to get back in to run. Which I have and been loving it. Right now I'm training with my husband for the Paris half marathon. That is in 2015. Which so far are training is going good. 

This half marathon with be our first one. Which I super excited to run on. Plus after I run it. I can mark it off my bucket list.  I will try my best to get back in to doing these update once a month again.

Tough it out Tuesday: #1000in30 in June


Hello Everyone, I'm back with another Tough it on Tuesday post. Today I'm here to give you all my result in my #1000in30 Challenge. Which Erin of Living in Yellow hosted. The challenge was to do 1000 minutes of physical active in June. Which I nailed it. I did a total of 1015 minutes. I started out the month doing awesome with doing insanity. I ended the month with walking a lot. As most of you know my car got hit on Mother's day. So it was in the shop for 2 weeks. So that meant I had to walk to do my errands. Which was fine with me. It did make it hard to grocery shop.  I would just go to the grocery store and buy what I knew I could carry home with me. 

Now to break down how I go to my 1015 minutes.

10 minute trainers~ Did this workout 5 time =50 minutes 
Plyometric Cardio~ Did this workout 2 time=84 minutes
Pure Cardio~ Did this workout 3 time=120 minutes
Carido Recovery~ Did once=33 minutes
29 minutes hauling planter and boxes out of the house
10 minute solution belly burn~ Did once=10 mintues
50 mile walked/ran= minutes-644
Max Recovery~Did this workout once=45 minutes

I decide that for July that I will not be doing any fitness challenge due to I have a lot going on this month.  I will still be working out like I have been for the last 2 month. I have sadly gave up on insanity. Due to I want to get back in to run. I will still be doing fitness update on how things are going. There might not be one this month. Due to it my birthday month and I'm sure I will be cheating a good amount. I will sure being it back for August.

Tough it out Tuesday: Insanity Update

Hello Everyone. It's been 30 day since I wrote that I was going to be doing Insanity. As you can see in the picture my body has change a little. It still a work in process. I'm happy with the small result that I have gotten so far.  I can't wait to start seeing more. 

Which these last two weeks I have slightly fallin off the wagon. I haven't been working out 6 days a week like I was. I have been doing more walking and counting that as my work out. I need to get back on track again and start doing the insanity work outs again.  I'm not going to lie there were days that I skipped the insanity workouts and did a 10 minute trainer instead. They also were day that I did both work outs.

I have been working out for a total of two month now. Which the first month I did a mixture of home workout videos. Then second month I did insanity and 10 minute trainers. As a result from eating right and working out. I have now hit my first goal weight which was to get back down to 2013 summer weight. Which was 135.  I still have a good way to get to my Michigan weight but I know I can do it.  

Instead of moving on to the second month of insanity. I'm going to redo the first month over again. Which I will do another update post on  how things are going in a month.

Total weight lost~9.4 pounds

Tough it out Tuesday: #MayMiles


Hello Everyone. In May I did a mile a day challenge. Which is to put a mile in a day by walking, jogging or running. Today I'm here today to share my results with you all.  How I find out about this challenge was I happen to be on pinterest looking for fitness motivation quote and I saw it. The challenge was held by the spark people.  How I shared my miles each day. Was I repined the spark people pins everyday. I made a special board for this challenge called #MayMile. 

 How I track my mile was I used my fitibit. Which keeps track of my steps, miles, weight and how active I'm. I wear my fitbit every day. It is the bracelet you see on my left arm in my photo's. It might not be the cutest thing but it helps me stay on track.

I started the month off doing well. Then the end of came and I didn't put as many miles in. Over all I did get a mile in a day. So the challenge was a success.

Tough it out Tuesday: Insanity

Right July 10, 2012~136 lbs/ Left September 2012 116lbs

Hello Everyone. Today I'm going to talk about my body. Please no negative comment. If you have been reading my blog for sometime now. You know that in 2012 I was the heaviest I have ever weighted. Which I would get comment telling me how fat I gotten. That when I decide I had to do something about my body. In August 2012. I started doing Insanity and lost 20 pounds. Which I felt great. You can read about my Insanity HERE.

I did such a great job keeping the weight off. Until April of 2013 that when I move to Germany. I was living in a hotel for 3 month and eat out a lot. Which cause me to start gain some weight. I was going to Zumba 3 time a week. Which helped me lose some of the weight. Well in July of 2013 I move in to my house and slowly started to stop working out. In October I was hitting the gym hard. Then the holiday came around and everything went to crap.

In January of this year I start back up with working out. Mainly just running. I still was eat whatever I want to eat. While a few month ago I step on the scale and start to cry. Due to I was weighing in at 143. Which to some people I know that is nothing but to me it was a huge deal. Due to that is now the heaviest I ever weight.  I have always struggle with my weight. For the longest time I was underweight and was trying to gain weight. Which you can read a post I did on that HERE

With the added wight I have gain. It  cause me to not enjoy getting dress. I still blogged about  the outfit I was wearing but made sure you couldn't see my stomach. Due to it the biggest thing on my body. I didn't want people to think I was pregnant. Since I have gotten asked in the past if I was.

Well over a month ago. I decide it was time take my life back and get fit again. I started to do a few insanity workout. Along with some Jillian Michaels and some random home workout. Plus running.  What I would do is one day go on a run. Then the next day do a home workout. I did this 6 days a week.  Along with doing this. I was watching what I ate and started to eat health again.

Which a lot of my family and friend think I'm crazy for doing this. They tell me that I look fine. The thing is I'm doing it for ME.

Which with working out and eating right for over a month. I have lost 5.4 pounds. I'm now weighing in at 137.6. I'm starting to feel great again and enjoying getting dress again.

Last week I decide to start up doing Insanity again. Along with the Insanity diet that goes with it. Since that what I used last time when I lost the 20 pounds.  In 30 days I will be doing an update post on how Insanity is going. Insanity is a 63 days programs.

Freedom Run 5K

Hello Everyone. Thank you all for your awesome comment on last Tuesday post. I can't tell you how much it meant to me. 

On Saturday April 12, 2014 I ran in the Freedom Run 5K. I'm happy to report I beat a lot of records this day. Which is awesome for this being my first 5K. 

The picture above are pre-race. I was super pumped and excited to get my run on.

The 5k end up being a 3.35 mile run. Which I so want to stop running after I hit the 3.10 mile mark. My friend G was by my side and helped me push it thru to the end. I'm so glad she was able to be there for my first 5k. Since she leaving to go back to the states in a week for good.

I finished my 3.10 which is a 5k in 33:09.  Which I cut some time off of it from my training. I end the total run at 35:46. My total pace over all was a 10'40. 

I also ran my fast mile on Saturday which was a 9:41. My next 5k run is May 31. I hope that I will keep on improving each time. 

I also want to give a huge shout out my friend AR for getting a picture of me as I across the finish line. Your the best. Thanks Again.

My Training for my FIRST 5k

Hello Everyone. Today I'm going to share with you all. Some of my 5k training. Which this Saturday April 12, 2014. Will be my first 5k run. Which I'm super excited and can't wait to do it. I have been training hard for it the last couple months. Hubby was running with me but then stopped after the bus accident. Due to he hurt his knee. He is still supporting me 100% and it awesome to have him on my side. Also my friends have been supporting me to. Which it help me to have a big support team. It make me want to run even more. 

Back in high school I was on the track team as a long distance runner. Which after high school I stopped running. So this year I have decide to get back in to running. Which its not easy to get in to at first but once you do you will love it. 

On January 25, 2014 I went on my first run. Which was horrible. I could even run for 5 minute. It had me feel real bad. So a friend told me about the couch to 5k.  Program. After they told me about the program I look in to it.  Which I didn't follow the plan completely. I did it for a couple weeks and then started to do my own thing. Which was run until I couldn't no more and walked some. Then run again. My hubby was by my side to make sure I did over do it. 

With each week I was able to do more and more. Also my pace got better. 
On February 19, 2014 I ran my first quarter mile. The week after my quarter mile. I ran a full mile. Which was on February 23. After that each week I went far and far.  Which now I'm up to 2.60 Miles. 

Yesterday I ran 2.60 mile and walk the rest to 3 mile. I end at 35:12. Which I'm happy about. I'm hoping that I can run a little faster on Saturday. Over all my goal is just to finish the 5k. Then next month when I do my next 5k. I will have a time goal in mind.
