My Winter Nail Care

Disclaimer: I was not paid in any to do this. All opinions are 100% Mine

Hello Everyone. I was so happy to get contacted by Julep's Community Outreach Coordinator, who was looking for bloggers to share tips on how they winterize their nails. They included a great tutorial of their own, which includes six steps great tips on how to winterize your nails.

First off I want to tell you all that I haven't painted my nail or did anything to them in a month. As an active nail polish wearer. I think it great to give your nails a break here and there. To help them stay healthy. I'm going to share with you my 7 tips on how I winterize my nails.

The items I use to take care of my nail are the following.
~Nail clippers
~Nail File
~ A mild hand soap. For soaking my nails
~Shea butter hand cream
~Cuticle pusher

Step 1~ Remove your nail polish if you have any on. Then cut your finger nail. I do this once a month. If you don't want to cut your nail then you can move on to step two.

Step 2~ Use the nail file and shape you nails to your liking.

Step 3~ Put warm water in a bowl with you favorite hand soap. The soap I'm using is Bath and Body Work Paris Armour. After soaking you nail dry your hands off.

Step 4~ Use the cuticle pusher and push your cuticle back.

Step 5~ Moisturize you hands with you favorite lotion. The hand lotion I'm using is True Blue Shea Cashmere Hand Cream.

Step 6~ Pick the polish you want to use for your nails.

Step 7~ Use you favorite Base Coat.  My favorite base/top coat is the Sally Hansen it the Ultimate Shield Base and Top Coat. It dry very quick.  After I put one layer on the base coat on. Then I added two coats of Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant in 305 Or you can use Julep nail polish in Lacey. Another great blue from Julep is Trina Turk from there fall 2012 in Gunta. After I let the Covergirl polish dry. I used one coat of Spoiled by Wet n Wild in S068 Jewelry Heist on my middle and ring finger.

Since today is the only day I have painted my nails. This is also my monthly nail recap post as well.

BBCA DAY 25: October Nails Plus Reveiw

Disclaimer: I was not paid to write this review. I was given the water decals for free to try out. All opinions are my own.
October 25, 2014~Bowknot Leaf Rose Sticker in number C068
Hello Everyone. Today I'm back to talk about another pack of water decals that I got from Born Pretty Store.  They were nice to send me 4 packs of water decal to try out. The first one I try out was the Rainbow Flower Pattern in XF1401 which you will see down below. These water decal are super easy to use. This time around I used some tweezers to get the water decal out of the water. Which made getting them out of the water super easy.

I was able to use one whole stripe to do both my thumb and ring finger on both hand. Which is super nice. This way I still have the rest of the pack to use. For nail polish this time I went with a gel polish from Sally Hansen. The polished I use was the Sally Hansen Salon Gel Polish in Back to the Fuchsia. I have to tell you all this is one of my favorite gel polish to use. When you are using any kind of decal with gel polish. You need to use rubbing alcohol after you cured you nail to remove the stickiness. Then place the decal on you nails. After you have the decal on your nail. Use a paper towel to get the left over water off. Then top it off with top coat.

Left~October 7, 2014, Revlon scented Parfume in 360 Bubble Gum. Under the Decals I used O.P.I. A-Ha Moment, Ring and middle finger have the  Rainbow Flower Pattern in XF1401 on them. ( The decal lasted 8 days on my nails. That with doing all my housework and other things) see review on these HERE
Middle~October 16, 2014, Broadway impress in tweet heart
Right~October 17, 2014 O.P.I. Elephantastic Pink Ribbon color is Kiss Nail Art Paint in White
This month I try out the Born Pretty Store water deal. Which I really like using them and I see myself using them in future manicure. I plan on ordering some Christmas decal. Since Christmas is my favorite holiday. Also this month I gave the Impress nails a try too. Sadly they only last a day before I took them off.

Don't forget to link your pink post up with my Co-Host~ Ada of Elegance Mommyhood and me.

Today Breast Cancer Item is Health Perch. Information down below is from there site.

1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime

This statistic is what makes breast cancer awareness month so important. Through early detection, chances of survival are greatly increased. Mortality rates from breast cancer have been declining since 1989, especially in women under 50. This is largely thanks to growing awareness of the importance of early detection.

Despite the leaps being made, breast cancer still accounts for more deaths than any other cancer, besides lung cancer. Talk with the women in your life about the importance of getting screened for breast cancer this October

Have a great Saturday.

BBCA 7: Review: Rainbow Flower Pattern Water Decal

Disclaimer: I was not paid to write this review. I was given the water decals for free to try out. All opinions are my own.
Rainbow Flower Pattern in XF1401
Hello Everyone. Today I'm here to talk about these water decals that I got from Born Pretty Store. Which they were nice to send my 4 packs of water decal to try out. If you have been around my blog you know I love doing my nails. I was super excited to be sent these water decal to try out. I have never used water decals before. So I thought I would give it a try.

For today review I'm using the Rainbow Flower Pattern in XF1401. I decide to use these flower ones. Do to the have a hint of pink in them. Which they work prefect with my BBCA(Blogging for Breast Cancer Awareness) month.  These water decals are super easy to use.

You just pick out what decal you want to use. Then place it in a some water for 10 to 20 seconds. After they have sit in the water for the needed time frame. You pick them up and slide the white back off and place them on your nails. Which I have to tell you all the first time I did this. I put the decal on backward. Which I was able to just pull it off. I was so happy that I didn't ruin the decal at all. After I got the decal off my nail. I placed it on the right way. Then I held a paper told to it to soak up the water. The instruction say to blow dry the decal. Instead of blow drying it. I place my hand under my UV Light for a few second. Then I topped it all off with top coat.
Revlon scented Parfume in 360 Bubble Gum. Under the Decals I used O.P.I. A-Ha Moment
The two colors I used for this manicure are a pink and a white. I'm so glad I decide to use a white to go under the water decals. Due to I had a few spots where I didn't get the decal on all the way. With using the white polish. Everything just blend together and looks good. Over all I'm super happy with this water decal.  Not only are the in my price ranges. They are easy to use and come off with regular nail polish.
