We are a mother-daughter blogging duo who blog over at H&K Style Journey.  Heather is the mom and Kayla is the daughter. We don't always see eye to eye, but we do agree that we both have a love of fashion!  Plus, what's better than one closet?  Having two closets to raid! 

One thing that we try do to in our weekly Mother/Daughter Remixes is to style the same piece and show that it can be worn for all age ranges.  Kayla has more of a casual style and Heather's is more dressy.

Hello everyone. This month I try out three new brand of nail polish. Which where color club, pure ice and 10 professional. Which I got these polish as a gift from Nicole back in November. She was so nice and sent me 10 bottles of nail polish to add to my collection. Thanks again Nicole.

Once I get to Germany I will do an update nail polish collection. Which the mover won't pack my nail polish up. So MIL Peggy is going to be mailing it to me. You all know I can't live with out it. Plus I don't want to have to buy more of it. Since my collection is mainly O.P.I.

My favorite Mani this month was the pink and blue one. Also I was super shocked with the 10 professional. I only need one coat. Which I love that.

Hello Everyone. Happy Friday. So this month I went a little shoe crazy. Do to my upcoming move. I just couldn't pass up the great deals at DSW and my discount helped too. So I end up get 11 new shoe. So I'm all set for Germany now. 

Tomorrow is our family going away party. Which is going to be fun and sad at the same time.

Also if you follow me on Instagram you know that I gave Priscilla away. Due to the move. I was sad at first but now I'm happy because MIL Peggy is going to keep her. So I will be able to see picture of her on Facebook. While I'm over in Germany.

Hello Everyone. I hope you all are doing well. Yesterday was my last day of working at DSW. My co-workers told me I need to go out wearing pink. So I decide to wear this pink dress that I won. Since it was 27 degree outs. I put this black sweater over the dress. Which this was the first time for me using a dress as a skirt.

Hello Everyone. Since tomorrow is my last day at work. I decide to wear my shoe lover t-shirt one more time to work. Which everyone love. 

I was running late this morning. So I had no time to straighten my hair. So curly it was. When my hair is curly I hate my bangs because they fly in my face. So I just pulled them back today.

Also over the weekend I got 9 pairs of new shoe. Which one of the pairs are these red heels.  Which I been want to add red shoe to for a while now. I'm also add blue, gold, nude and silver shoe in my closet. So now I'm all set with shoe.

Hello Everyone. Today was my very last meeting at DSW. Where I was able to say good bye to everyone. Who I won't be see the next 2 days. I volunteers to do dress a DSW trend. Which I knew this dress I got from  
eShakti would be prefect for it. 

In the being of February I was contacted by eShakti.

Asking if I would like to do a review on there spring line. Which I was so happy to be contacted by this wonderful company again. So that same day I jumped on the website and fall in love with this dress. For one it had pink in it and if you have been reading my blog you know how I love this color. Plus it is navy. Which I don't own much of.  

Unlike my first review with them. This dress was shipped to me in 8 days which I loved. Special since with my move coming up. When I did my review last time I custom my dress but it was to long. So this time around I costumed it again and my the dress be right above the knee. Which worked out for. 

Also now with eShakti you can remove the pockets from the dress. Which I chose to leave the pocket in my dress. Which I kept my cellphone in my pocket the whole meeting.

Hello Everyone. Thank you all for the get well wish. I'm happy to say I'm back to my normal self with health wise. Which is a good thing. Since I have a lot do in the next couple weeks. The hardest part is going to be say good bye to everyone.

My co-worker were yelling at me today. Saying you better not get sick on your last day of work. That because they have something up there sleeve and I have no idea what. Beside that we have a going away party this weekend with friend and one next weekend with are family.

I also need to start packing my suitcase. Which man I having the hardest time figuring what to pack. Due to what I pack I will have to live with for 2 month's before my other stuff arrives. I know I can do it. 

Also sorry I haven't been by to read you blog much. Most of you know I'm in the middle of a huge move. Which is happen in 3 weeks.

Hello Everyone.  I had to work early this morning. So I had no time to post this before work. Which this was my first early morning shift in a long time.  Hubby got up early today to. More so I was making to much noise and he couldn't fall back to sleep. So I asked him to take my picture. Which he did and was have a lot of fun doing it too. I'm hoping to get a tripod after I move. So no more me holding my phone.

 

That all I have about me for today. I do have an update on my MIL Peggy. She is healing very well. So the Dr. gave her the okay to go back to work today. Which she was happy about because she was getting tired of being home. We are still waiting to her the results.

Hello Everyone. For this month remix recap I decide to show you all my pencil jean skirt. I brought this skirt from Old Navy in September of  2011 for 15.88. I have already have worn it 14 time. So there for I almost got my money worth out of this skirt. I can't wait for it to get warm out again. So I can wear it again with bare legs.

This pencil jean skirt is one of my staple items in my closet. I have had co-workers tell me they love this skirt.
